Marriage & Family Therapy Registered Intern
Therapy Approach:

I have received extensive training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy while enrolled in the Family Therapy Doctoral program at Nova Southeastern University. I will work collaboratively with you to establish goals, and I believe that you have the strengths and resources to enhance your life. I am trained in brief therapy; therefore costly long-term therapy is usually not needed. Please see my resume’ to learn more about my work experience, presentations, and accomplishments. Also, feel free to view recent letters of recommendation from former coworkers who have observed my work directly.

No third party or insurance hassles; self-pay only.

                            Comparison of Self-pay vs. Insurance

Self Pay Advantages: Privacy, No insurance intrusion, No time limits,
No session limits. No recorded diagnosis is necessary. Higher value of treatment.
Disadvantages: Out of pocket expense

Insurance Advantages: Might be covered, If covered, reduced costs
Disadvantages: Often not a benefit: Personal information can be requested. May have time limits. May have session limits. Less privacy. A stigmatizing diagnosis can be given that may prevent future coverage. Lower value of treatment. http://www.brief-therapy.org/http://shss.nova.eduJeffrey Cotton, M.S., IMT, IMH_files/Resume.pdfJeffrey Cotton, M.S., IMT, IMH_files/Letters%20of%20Recommendation.pdfshapeimage_6_link_0shapeimage_6_link_1
